Corporate Partnerships

Formed in 1986, Mad Horse Theatre company's recognized artistic achievement has relied upon the support of local businesses for its continued success as some of the best theater Maine has to offer.

These important partnerships allow Mad Horse to continue its tradition of excellence as well as its development of future programs. By this valuable support, our sponsors demonstrate their civic leadership and commitment to maintaining the high quality of the arts community in Portland.

Our sponsorship programs include brand exposure on all of our marketing materials. Each program is individually-crafted to suit the specific needs of our sponsors. For more information about corporate sponsorship, please email

Mad Horse Theatre wishes to acknowledge the charitable foundations and corporations who generously support us:

LL Bean supports our Pay What You Can Nights. For years, every Thursday night has been Pay What You Can at Mad Horse, because we believe theatre should be accessible to everyone, regardless of income.

In 2013, Mad Horse Theatre Company received a $5,000 grant from the Maine Theatre Fund of the Maine Community Foundation for general operating support. This grant allowed us to renovate our costume room and catalogue its contents. Funds from the grant have also helped support redesign of our website and marketing of our rental space.

In 2015, a $10,000 grant from the Davis Family Foundation helped Mad Horse expand our marketing efforts for our 30th Anniversary season. This generous grant allowed us to advertise on radio for the first time in our history, which helped us reach a broader audience and increase attendance at all our shows.
