Amber Callahan graduated from the University of Maine with two B.A's in Theater and Psychology. She came to Portland the following fall as a carpentry intern at Portland Stage Company and has since been employed as a set designer, technical director, scenic charge, carpenter, and electrician by several performance companies throughout Maine and the New Hampshire Seacoast areas including Stages Performing Arts Academy for Kids, PortOpera, Portland Stage, Stonington Opera House Arts, Children's Theater of Maine, American Irish Repertory Ensemble, Dexter Wayside Theater, The Kings of the Hill, Players Ring (Portsmouth, NH), Portsmouth Music Hall, Haunted Acres (Epping, NH) and the Intermezzo Young Artist Program (New York, NY). She is currently the technical director of The Public Theater in Lewiston, ME.
