Brent has appeared in Mad Horse’s productions of Cloud 9, Drunks, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, and The Pillowman. He is a member of the Stone Pinhead Ensemble, the Comedy Improv Alliance, and the co-founder of Insidious Theatre with Lisa Muller-Jones. He appeared as safety inspector “Pern Shortsleeves” in CW’s kids program Kickstart.

Brent has had plays produced in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Connecticut, Maine, and Washington, DC. He was part of HBO’s New Writers Project and has been a finalist in the Samuel French Short Play Festival, the Louisville 10-Minute Play Festival, Source 10-Minute Play Competition and the Boston Theatre Marathon. He has sold several screenplays to companies including Paramount Pictures, Marvel Films, and Artisan Entertainment. His script “Identity Crisis” is being co-produced by Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions and American Pie screenwriter Adam Herz's Terra Firma Films. He most recently sold a screenplay to BET founder Robert Johnson’s Our Stories Films. Last year, Brent developed and wrote comedy pilots for Reveille Entertainment. He is the author of the novel Not Ready For Prime Time (Carroll & Graf) and is currently finishing his second novel, The Neighborhood.
