Jennifer Halm-Perazone
A proud member of Mad Horse Theatre Company since 2008. Jennifer is a “backstage woman” and enjoys working as Stage Manager and House Manager for the company. She has been honored to be a part of the Mad Horse leadership team and on the building committee, taking care of the beautiful old schoolhouse. She first discovered the exciting world of technical theatre during college and found her calling. She was the resident stage manager for The Antrim Playhouse in Suffern, New York, and after moving to Maine, she taught theatre in after school drama clubs, at the Long Creek Youth Development Center and to homeschooled children. She has stage-managed for The School House Arts Center, the Freeport Community Players, and was a production assistant at Portland Stage Company. Jennifer’s mission in life had been to create order from chaos but has found that sometimes chaos can create good theatre. Drawn to Mad Horse Theatre because of its ensemble nature, she is happy to find a home within this creative company.
Some of her favorite production credits are: Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Long Day’s Journey into Night, Of Mice and Men, The Children's Hour, The Clean House, The Normal Heart, The Late Henry Moss, The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Orphans, and Lysistrata.
